Barry E. Petrigala is the founder and president of Healthstar Associates.  In this role, Barry develops product marketing plans and manages a field sales force of seven while continuing to call on a broad range of customers in order to accelerate sales and gain timely intelligence on all market segments.  Barry began his healthcare career as assistant marketing director for Cenco Medical Health and marketing director for Tetra Co., both in Chicago, Illinois.  He founded Healthstar Associates’ predecessor company in 1978 with a partner, and became sole principal of his own firm in 1991.  Barry holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Illinois and an MBA from DePaul University.  He currently is a director of the Health Industry Representatives Association (HIRA) and a board member of the University of Illinois’ Sigma Pi Alumni Association.

Steven Seaver is the company’s sales manager.   As Healthstar Associates’ sales manager, Steve focuses on training and support for the sales force, representing manufacturers within his territory, and business relations with clients and the public.  In a previous role as sales manager for another firm, he supervised 60-70 sales personnel who generated approximately $10 million in weekly sales.  In this role, he was responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating sales rep training programs; helping to develop district sales objectives; and setting plans for each representative.  Steve’s professional experience also includes working as a sales representative, rehabilitation technician, manager of a durable medical equipment retail store and police officer.  Steve received his bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University
